JIMMY PAGE READY FOR LED ZEPPELIN TO TOUR

TOKYO (AP) – Guitarist Jimmy Page says he’s ready to take Led Zeppelin on tour. Don’t rush out to buy tickets yet — it probably won’t be before September. That’s because singer Robert Plant is doing a world tour with bluegrass musician Alison Krauss.
They’ve already announced some dates in the U.S. and in Europe, but the rest of the North American tour will probably be in June and July. Page says the amount of work they put into their reunion show in December in London was what they would normally put into a world tour anyway. That show featured Page, Plant, bassist-keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer Jason Bonham, son of late drummer John Bonham.
Page says the London show is proof that Led Zeppelin can still perform at its best, and he says they’re ready musically to take the band out on a wider run. Page made the announcement in Tokyo, where he was promoting the new Led Zeppelin release “Mothership.”
