EIGHT FREE CONCERTS WILL MARK EARTH DAY
WASHINGTON (AP) – Eight free concerts are planned across America to celebrate Earth Day. The flagship event will be on the National Mall in Washington and will feature The Roots, Toots and the Maytals and Gov’t Mule. Ricky Skaggs, as well as Big Head Todd And The Monsters, will play New York, while Meshell Ndegeocello and the Derek Trucks Band will play in Chicago. Menudo and Arrested Development will play Miami, while Los Lonely Boys and Junior Brown will perform in Dallas. The Neville Brothers will headline Denver, Taj Mahal and Ziggy Marley will perform in Los Angeles and Mickey Hart from the Grateful Dead will play in San Francisco. Organizers hope to get people talking about global warming and to pressure politicians to make climate change a priority. The shows are planned for April 20th, although Earth Day is actually on April 22nd. RADIOHEAD – HOUSE OF CARDS
