Yesterday’s storm spurred police response in many areas due to flooding and downed power lines.Powerful winds that accompanied a storm buffeted coastal New Jersey and lashed states as far south as Virginia.
Some homes were flooded and others damaged in the aftermath of the downpour. State DEP officials will be inspecting beaches along the coast today, looking for erosion and completing inspections prior to Memorial Day weekend
