CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) – Dave Matthews says sax player Leroi Moore was “a great friend who had so many talents.” Matthews was one of about a thousand people who attended Moore’s funeral last week in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Daily Progress reports Matthews told the congregation he and Moore would sit together at a bar and talk about music. He says sometimes Moore would do all the talking and sometimes Matthews would do all the talking, until they were “gently asked to leave.” Moore died August 19th from complications of an all-terrain vehicle accident in June.
