FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) — The Fort Chaffee Redevelopment Authority in Arkansas is planning to celebrate a significant event in Elvis Presley’s history: the day he got his buzz cut. It will celebrate the 51st anniversary of Presley getting his Army haircut on March 25 at the Fort Chaffee Barber Shop Museum, where it all happened. The son of the barber who did the cut will be there, as will the photographer who documented the haircut and a TV reporter who interviewed Presley at Fort Chaffee.
