PEORIA, Ill. (AP) – The city of Peoria, Illinois, is planning a memorial to native son Dan Fogelberg. The city council has unanimously approved plans for a memorial in a park. The man pushing for the memorial, Hugh Higgins, says he envisions the memorial as a boulder etched with the lyrics of one of Fogelberg’s songs. He estimates the cost to be about $10,000 and the memorial will be paid for by donations.
