CLEVELAND (AP) - The tie-dyed cape John Sebastian of the Lovin’ Spoonful wore to Woodstock is now a museum piece. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland will run the exhibit until November 29. Besides Sebastian’s cape, other items that will be part of the exhibit include the performance contract for Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and a letter from Apple Corps offering James Taylor, Billy Preston and the Plastic Ono Band as performers. None of them performed at Woodstock. The exhibit also includes the original press release for Woodstock, which noted, “Woodstock does not figure on gate crashers.”
