LONDON (AP) — John Lennon’s toilet has sold for nearly ten times its expected price. The white porcelain commode decorated with blue designs sold for $14,744. It was expected to sell for about $1,500. Auction organizer Stephen Bailey says a private overseas buyer bought the toilet Saturday at a Beatles convention in Liverpool. The toilet was once part of Lennon’s estate between 1969 and 1972. He gave it to a builder and encouraged him to use it as a flower pot.
