Hurricane Earl expected to affect NJ coastline

Posted on September 3, 2010 by

It’s a waiting game for New Jersey residents as Hurricane Earl moves up the East Coast.   The National Weather Service says a tropical storm warning is still in effect for the state’s coast, with the worst expected later today.   Hurricane conditions aren’t expected in New Jersey, but the storm is expected to cause rough surf, dangerous rip currents and coastal flooding.   Swimming and surfing restrictions are in place at some beaches.
