Utility officials say about 5,700 customers are without power after an ice storm snapped tree limbs and brought down power lines in central and northern New Jersey. The state’s largest utility, PSE&G, said about 3,200 homes and businesses were without service as of 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Jersey Central Power and Light said about 2,500 customers were without service at 8 p.m. Officials say repair crews were hampered by icy roads following the overnight storm.
