Lakewood police issue more than 20 tickets to school bus drivers in one morning

Lakewood police issued 21 tickets to school bus drivers Wednesday following a series of complaints.  Most of the tickets (14) were for failure to wear a seat belt.  Three were for cell phone violations, two for red light violations and one each for a stop sign violation and failure to exhibit insurance documents.   Friday, the Lakewood Board of Education voted to take 15 routes away from its carrier, Negba Bus Service of Linden, following a series of problems ranging from safety violations to late arrivals.
