BONO & THE EDGE ON ‘SPIDER-MAN’ OPENING

NEW YORK (AP) – Bono says he’s humbled to be in the footsteps of Broadway greats like Rodgers and Hammerstein, Rodgers and Hart, and Irving Berlin. He says, “We found out it’s harder than you think.” Bono and The Edge wrote the music for the troubled Broadway show, “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.” Bono and The Edge were there last night, as the show had its official opening. The original director was fired in March after delays, accidents and poor audience reaction. But Bono says he thinks the reworked $70 million musica! l is “going to have a very, very bright future.”
