NEW YORK (AP) – The man who made the film Metallica: Some Kind of Monster has now done a film marking the 25th anniversary of Paul Simon’s Graceland album. Joe Berlinger followed Simon as he returned to South Africa to revisit the making of the record and what’s changed since then. At the time, Simon was accused of breaking the United Nations cultural boycott of South Africa because of apartheid. The film will debut at the Sundance Film Festival, which starts today. It will be released this spring as part of a Graceland boxed set featuring the original album and bonus tracks.
