PAUL McCARTNEY, ELTON JOHN WILL PERFORM FOR QUEEN’S JUBILEE CELEBRATION

LONDON (AP) – Paul McCartney, Elton John and Tom Jones will help Queen Elizabeth celebrate her diamond jubilee, marking her 60 years on the throne. They will perform in front of Buckingham Palace on July 4. Shirley Bassey and Cliff Richard will also perform, and more performers will be added in the coming months. Gary Barlow of the British boy band Take That is organizing the event, and he’s gotten suggestions from Prince Harry and Prince William. Officials say the queen is “content” with the musical program.
