NASHVILLE (AP) – Mumford and Sons frontman Marcus Mumford says Emmylou Harris is pretty much the reason they make the kind of music they do. Mumford says the “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” soundtrack was influential to the group, and that’s what inspired them to look into more kinds of Americana music. Mumford and Sons will perform with Harris tonight on “CMT Crossroads.” Mumford says every song that Harris has sang on with another artist is his favorite song by that artist. Mumford and Sons’ new album, “Babel,” is out this week.
