Christie’s court nominee stalled over FBI files

Gov. Christie’s flap with Democrats over judicial nominees continues.  The governor nominated former Monmouth County Sheriff Joseph Oxley to the Superior Court in May.  Democrats have stalled the nomination while waiting for FBI files on Oxley compiled as part of a standard background check.  The files, which were turned over to the State Police, do not have to be given to the Senate Judiciary Committee for review.
