Many NJ voters persevere to get to polls

Many people across New Jersey who lost their homes in last week’s mega-storm or are still without power went the extra mile, literally, to get out and vote today.¬† Voters in Point Pleasant expressed relief and even elation at being able to vote at all. ¬†Point Pleasant Beach bus driver Rich Schwartz says his home was seriously damaged in last week’s storm. Early this morning, he drove to a neighboring borough to cast a ballot for President Barack Obama, saying he’d have voted for Obama “on the moon” if he’d had to.
