Many NJ voters persevere to get to polls
Many people across New Jersey who lost their homes in last week’s mega-storm or are still without power went the extra mile, literally, to get out and vote today. Voters in Point Pleasant expressed relief and even elation at being able to vote at all. Point Pleasant Beach bus driver Rich Schwartz says his home was seriously damaged in last week’s storm. Early this morning, he drove to a neighboring borough to cast a ballot for President Barack Obama, saying he’d have voted for Obama “on the moon” if he’d had to.
