Vice President Joe Biden is assuring New Jersey residents that the federal government won’t abandon them after Hurricane Sandy. The vice president spent the better part of Sunday visiting storm-wrecked areas of New Jersey, including the boardwalk at Seaside Heights and a damaged rail station in Hoboken. Biden is the latest White House official to visit New Jersey after it was battered by the superstorm. President Barack Obama visited storm-wrecked Atlantic City with Gov. Christie, while two Cabinet officers toured a Federal Emergency Management Agency facility in Middletown on Friday.
