Sandy a super test for Bloomberg, Christie, Cuomo

Experts in leadership and disaster response give high marks to the governors of New Jersey, New York and and the mayor of New York City for their performance in Superstorm Sandy.  Syracuse University political science professor Robert McClure says Americans seek authenticity in political leaders, and the three men demonstrated it.  The experts say New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie stands out for being outspoken and ahead of the curve. They cite his order of gas rationing before anyone else, putting his GOP credentials on the line to praise the response of President Barack Obama’s administration or using a televised briefing to comfort children with a simple: “Don’t be scared.”
