Poll measures extent of Sandy’s damage to NJ

A new poll gives a glimpse of Superstorm Sandy’s damage in New Jersey. The Rutgers-Eagleton poll released Tuesday finds more than two-thirds of people were affected by the storm.  Of those affected, nearly two-thirds were without electricity for more than five days. One in five was forced to leave their home.  Relief efforts received good marks. About three-quarters of residents affected by the storm said the Red Cross handled the situation very well or somewhat well.  The survey found support for the power companies’ efforts.  About three-quarters of people also said their electric company handled the crisis very well or somewhat well.
