Big Brothers/Big Sister of Monmouth County
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to make a positive difference in the lives of children who are facing emotional, social, and academic challenges. Through professionally-supported relationships with a caring adult, Big Brothers Big Sisters assists the children in achieving their highest potential as they grow to become confident, competent and caring individuals.
It has been the history and goal of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth County, for the past 32 years, to make a positive difference in the lives of at-risk children through professionally supported, primarily one-to-one mentoring relationships with a caring adult, and to assist the children in achieving their highest potential as they grow to become confident, competent and caring individuals.
Big Brothers Big Sisters has worked to make a positive difference in the lives of children in our community by matching them with adult role-models who, in as little as 4 hours a month, can change that young person’s life. There is currently a list of over 30 children who are waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister, someone to have fun with and confide in, someone to be a mentor, a guide and a friend.
