Engineering executive indicted over campaign gifts
A former executive of a large New Jersey engineering firm has been indicted on charges that he helped his firm illegally reimburse employees for $150,000 worth of political contributions. Sixty-year-old Thomas Rospos was the executive vice-president at Monmouth County Birdsall Services groups, a company that has received millions of dollars in public contracts. The state Attorney General’s Office says he had employee give non-reportable political contributions of under $300, then had the company reimburse them through bonus payments.
