Middletown Arts Center

The building for the Middletown Arts Center was purchased in 1998 for the original purpose of being an indoor sports facility. The town of Middletown realized that sports related programs were so popular, while on the other hand, the arts had not one related program. The building received the vote from the town to turn the recently acquired property into a space for cultural and artistic activities.

The location of the building is ideal. It is located in the middle of Middletown next to the train station making it easily accessible. The site was improved from 14,000 square feet to 23,000 square feet with a new 9,000 square feet addition, along with a new roof, and new interior. In March 2007, the Middletown Arts Center opened its doors for the first time.

The arts center is extremely beneficial to the community. It offers many classes and holds many events including, school concerts, fashion shows, art exhibits, and musicals.
