Internet gambling in New Jersey has moved a step closer to reality. The Assembly approved the proposal Monday. It would allow Atlantic City casinos to accept Internet bets from gamblers in other states, as long as such activity is consistent with federal law. The measure now heads to the full Senate for its consideration, but a vote there has not yet been scheduled. New Jersey is moving rapidly to increase the number and types of legalized gambling it offers.
