New Jersey is extending the deadline for registration of charities and fundraisers related to Superstorm Sandy. The Division of Consumer Affairs announced Thursday that the deadline is extended until Feb. 1 for charities, fundraisers, and fundraising counsel to file required paperwork under the State’s Charities Registration and Investigation Act. Only registrants located in disaster-affected counties are eligible for the extension. A list of the counties and the requirements for applying for an extension are on the FEMA website.
