TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will host his 100th town hall-style meeting on Wednesday.
The first-term governor uses the town hall format to communicate directly with constituents. His town halls are typically held before friendly crowds and are usually packed.
Some have produced exchanges later released on YouTube.
The Christie administration released a minute-long video previewing the town hall on Monday. The upbeat clip shows staffers setting up before Christie enters the hall.
The video is Christie’s 730th on YouTube, a format as successful for the Republican as the town hall.
Christie chose Manahawkin as the site for his centennial town hall. The 2-square-mile community of 2,300 people in Ocean County is the gateway to Long Beach Island, an area hit hard by Superstorm Sandy.
