JERSEY SHORE, N.J. (APP) – Federal Aid money is finally starting to flow into areas devastated by Hurricane Sandy, particularly in Belmar and Marlboro.
FEMA is conveying nearly $6 million into the area for the rebuilding process as well as an additional $3.5 million to the State Office of Emergency Management for its disaster management and recovery coordination efforts.
Commenting on the delivery of the funds, Sen. Frank Lautenberg said “This federal funding will help ensure that Belmar, Marlboro and our state emergency management agency aren’t overwhelmed by the recovery costs from superstorm Sandy”
