Winter Storm Watch issued for most of NJ

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey is facing the possibility of a significant winter storm.

A winter storm watch is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service says the snow should mix with or change to sleet and rain for a period of time from Monmouth County northward.

Forecasters say snow accumulations of 4 to 10 inches are possible, with the highest amounts expected across northwest New Jersey.

At this point, forecasters say the snow should develop Friday morning then mix with or change to sleet and rain from the southwest to the northwest. The snow could be heavy at times during Friday afternoon and evening.
