TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Sen. Barbara Buono has won the backing from New Jersey’s largest state worker union in her campaign for governor.
The Communications Workers of America met with the Middlesex County Democrat in New Brunswick on Friday.
State director Hetty Rosenstein says the union sees eye to eye with Buono on taxes, education and collective bargaining.
The union tangled with Gov. Chris Christie over pension and health benefits changes he enacted in 2011 that required greater contributions from workers.
