Gov. Christie to address commercial developers

EDISON, N.J. (AP) — Gov. Chris Christie is due to speak before a commercial real estate group.

The governor will give the keynote address at the developers’ annual public policy forum in Edison on Wednesday. The event will be dominated by discussions about Superstorm Sandy recovery efforts.

State Senate President Stephen Sweeney and Assembly Majority Leader Lou Greenwald will also be at the forum. They will participate in a discussion about fortifying transportation, energy and water systems and ensuring that billions in federal recovery money is spent properly.

Real estate developers are interested in hearing whether lawmakers plan to protect them from a 2.5 percent affordable housing fee when a moratorium expires in June.
