HILLSBOROUGH, N.J. (AP) — The father of a missing College of New Jersey senior says his daughter was very stressed recently and living at home for added support.
Paige Aiello was reported missing Tuesday after apparently taking off in her mother’s car from their home in Hillsborough. Later that day a passer-by reported finding her purse, cellphone and car keys on the south walkway of the George Washington Bridge.
Authorities searched the Hudson River and did not find anything.
Christopher Aiello of Hillsborough tells New York radio station WCBS his daughter is a high achiever who was accepted to nine law schools.
He tells the station she “had hit almost like a wall almost, where she felt she was not maybe either worthy of all this or she just couldn’t handle it.”
