RED BANK, N.J. — The project to replace the West Front Street Bridge over the Swimming River has begun.
According to Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone, “When completed, the new structure will improve travel between Middletown and Red Bank for vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic.”
The project has an expected completion date of May 2016. The existing bridge will remain open to traffic for the majority of the project, with the exception of a four month period beginning in January 2015.
