TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Remnants of Tropical Storm Karen could give New Jersey a soaking.
Forecasters say the storm’s track remains a work in progress, but Karen is predicted to lash the northern Gulf Coast over the weekend as a weak hurricane or tropical storm. Remnants of the storm could then track northeast toward New Jersey.
The National Weather Service says there’s the potential for heavy rain Monday into Tuesday.
Forecasters say flooding is possibility if 1 to 2 inches of rain falls over a short period of time.
