TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey is bracing for a nor’easter that poses a coastal flood threat for communities along the southern shore.
A coastal flood watch is in effect from Ocean County south beginning Thursday.
Forecasters say rain, driven by gale force winds, combined with rough surf could result in minor tidal flooding through the weekend.
Forecasters also say minor roadway flooding is possible during high tide Wednesday afternoon.
Forecasters are predicting lighter rainfall in northern New Jersey counties.
