ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — What do Heart, Barenaked Ladies, Willie Nelson have in common? They are among the music acts that have pulled out of scheduled performances at SeaWorld in Florida. And it wasn’t because they were sick, either. They have all mentioned the recent documentary “Blackfish” as their reason for bailing. The film raises questions about the effects of captivity on killer whales, like the giant orcas who perform at SeaWorld. Joan Jett has also taken a stand on the matter, though she wasn’t to perform there in person. She has asked the theme park to stop using her song “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” as the opening music for its “Shamu Rocks” show. Jett says she’s “sickened” that her music is being played at the whale show — when whales are “sound-sensitive marine mammals.”
