NJ faces bitter cold day

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Motorists and pedestrians in New Jersey should use caution because ice is forming on untreated roads and sidewalks.

Driving can be especially slick on elevated surfaces and on ramps leading to and from highways.

Parts of the state awoke to temperatures in the teens Wednesday. Wind chill is also a factor and it’s expected to be cold for the remainder of the week.

Forecasters say more snow, sleet and freezing rain are possible Saturday and Sunday.
