Snow falling over New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Light snow is falling over New Jersey and officials are asking motorists to slow down on their way to work.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for most of the state Tuesday.

The National Weather Service is predicting accumulations of 1 to 4 inches. Forecasters say far northern New Jersey, Monmouth County and the Raritan Basin should receive the most snow. There should be less snow along the coast.

The snow is expected to taper off by the afternoon.

The speed limit has been lowered to 45 mph on the New Jersey Turnpike between the Delaware Memorial Bridge and Newark.

New Jersey Transit trains and buses are cross-honoring tickets all day.
