The Monmouth County SPCA and Homeward Bound Adoption Center is a non-profit organization that receive no federal, state or local funding. They rely entirely on private donations to fund the many programs provided. The MCSPCA is an Open Admission shelter that does not euthanize adoptable pets. This policy was adopted in 1999 and has enabled the group to save countless lives. However, since adoptable animals stay at the shelter until they are able to find the right home, the added financial and manpower burden has been enormous.
The MCSPCA provides services that improve the quality of life for all citizens of the community, not just for pet owners. In addition to animal adoption and surrender services, the Monmouth County SPCA provides the following services to the community including: Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic, Cruelty Investigations, Humane Education, Pet Assisted Therapy, Dog Training, Pet Bereavement Counseling, Lost and Found services.
Donations are needed now more than ever.
