KEANSBURG, N.J (APP) — David T. Kneipp of Hazlet was arrested Tuesday night after a motor vehicle stop found he had 104 decks of heroin and four Xanax bars, according to Michael Pigott, deputy chief of Keansburg police.
The officer checked Kneipp’s driver’s license and found it was suspended, Pigott said. Police arrested Kneipp and discovered a large quantity of illegal drugs, police said.
Kneipp was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a school zone; within 500 feet of public housing; within 500 feet of a public park; possession of a CDS with the intent to distribute; and two counts of possession of heroin and Xanax as well as multiple motor vehicle summonses, Pigott said.
Kneipp was taken to the Monmouth County jail in lieu of $25,000 with no 10 percent option. The Asbury Park Press asked police for a photo of the suspect, but they refused. State law allows authorities discretion in releasing suspect photos, but they often refuse to do so, saying they are prohibited by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
