SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. (AP) — Two men were hospitalized after they allegedly stabbed each other during a fight on a southern New Jersey roadway.
Seaside Heights police tell the Asbury Park Press that the stabbing occurred early Sunday. They say the men initially had a verbal argument in another part of town, then renewed their dispute when they met up again a short time later.
One man, identified only as a 26-year-old Lakewood resident, suffered stab wounds to his left hand and right shoulder. The other man, 20-year-old Peter Farina Jr. of Jackson, was stabbed in his left bicep and his back.
Farina was charged with aggravated assault and a weapons offense.
A telephone number for Farina could not be located. It wasn’t known Sunday night if he had retained a lawyer.
