TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey is getting an early taste of summer even though the season doesn’t officially begin until Saturday.
Temperatures in the mid to upper 80s could reach the middle 90s in parts of the state Wednesday.
A heat advisory is in effect from noon until 7 p.m. for Mercer, Gloucester, Camden and northwest Burlington counties.
Forecasters say the heat and humidity will combine in those areas to make it feel like it’s in the mid to upper 90s.
People are advised to wear light clothing and drink plenty of water.
There’s a chance for rain to cool things down Wednesday night.
