ASBURY PARK, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey man has been charged in a deadly daytime shooting that took place in April in Asbury Park.
The Monmouth County prosecutor’s office and the Asbury Park police say Jacquil Jones was arrested Wednesday.
The 25-year-old Farmingdale man faces murder and weapons charges in the shooting death of 28-year-old Jermaine Huntley of Asbury Park.
Investigators say Huntley was shot in the back outside a home in Asbury Park on April 10. He was driven to a hospital where he died a half-hour later.
Jones is being held on $1.2 million cash-only bail. It’s not immediately known if he has a lawyer.
