LAKEWOOD, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a man involved in a brawl at a southern New Jersey concert venue later stabbed the other combatant after he saw him walking down a street.
Lakewood police tell The Star-Ledger (http://bit.ly/1oaCGIT) that 21-year-old Manuel Ramirez of Freehold was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and several weapons counts stemming from the attack, which occurred early Saturday. He was being held on $250,000 cash bail, and it was not known if he had retained a lawyer.
The victim, whose name was not released, suffered several stab wounds to the chest, abdomen, face and back. He was hospitalized in stable condition, and further details on his injuries were not disclosed.
Authorities did not say what sparked the brawl, which ended with both men being thrown out of the venue.
