Two Toms River residents charged heroin possession, distribution

TOMS RIVER (NJ.com) – Two Toms River residents were arrested following a search warrant that led to the discovery of heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

An investigation turned up information that George Parker, 31, was a heroin distributor in the Toms River area, police said.

During the search warrant, police said they found drugs that were in an area that was accessible to a 5-year-old girl who lived at the home. The state’s Department of Children and Families placed the child with a family member, police said.

Parker and Emilia Garces, 25, were each charged with possession heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.
