SEASIDE HEIGHTS (NJ.com) — A touring electronic musical festival may not be welcome back in Seaside Heights after mass arrests and drug-related illnesses plagued the event during its first visit to the borough Saturday and Sunday.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office reported that 35 adults were arrested during the Electric Adventure concert on the beach, 20 of them related to drug possession and distribution. In addition, three juveniles were charged with possession of controlled substances. Police arrested 15 adults and four juveniles for disorderly conduct, according to Detective Steve Korman of the Seaside Heights Police Department.
The majority of sick concertgoers were treated and released by medical personnel on site, according to the prosecutor’s office.
