Brookdale Public Radio Announces Live In The Park
Brookdale Public Radio, 90.5 The NIGHT is proud to announce the release of its latest CD, “NIGHT In The Park”. This CD is a collection of exclusive live recordings of performances played at 2009′s “Comcast’s Songwriters In The Park” The CD is available exclusively to members of Brookdale Public Radio. Below is a track listing of the artists on the collection:

Brookdale Public Radio Is Giving Something Back To Listeners
Brookdale Public Radio, 90.5 The NIGHT is giving something back to listeners during their summer membership drive. The 4th Annual Wave Gathering is a weekend showcase of over 170 of the best emerging musical acts in New Jersey. The Wave Gathering takes place the weekend of June 19th in 21 venues in and around Asbury Park. 90.5 The NIGHT offers a pair of passes to the event on a limited basis to anyone who makes a pledge of $100 before our Summer Membership Drive on June 18th. 90.5 The NIGHT is letting its listeners take over the station for an hour. Brookdale Public Radio last week set-up a new web site (http://CureForTheCommonRadio.com) that allows fans of the station to create a playlist of 13 songs. That custom-made playlist then gets posted to CureForTheCommonRadio.com. “We’ve been surprised to see the combinations of songs that people have put on their playlist.” says Tom Brennan, Station Manager of WBJB-FM in Linfcroft. He added, “Just this past week we got a playlist that included The Cure, Al Green, John Scofeild, and The Grateful Dead. A playlist like that has to be aired.”. Playlist submissions get sent to the staff of the station who then will put the set of songs on the air. The playlists will be aired at Noon on Fridays.
When logging onto the site users are asked to search for songs by title or by artist. They can then add the results to a 13-song playlist. After the playlist is submitted the listener can post their playlist to Twitter, Facebook, and other social networking websites.
