We are pleased to present a special performance of ‘Art,’ a play about a painting and a friendship.
‘Art’ tells the comedic story of three long-time friends, Serge, Marc, and Yvan, whose relationship is put to the test when Serge purchases a large and completely white modern art painting. The high-price purchase sets off a heated exchange about what constitutes art and quickly becomes more personal as the three resentfully bring up each other’s individual failures. Will this friendship be forever destroyed?
This award-winning comedy, written by Yasmina Reza, premiered in 1994 at Comédie des Champs-Élysées in Paris and has since shown in London and on Broadway.
Featuring: Jim Kempner as Serge, Paul Whelihan as Marc, and Dov Tiefenbach as Yvan
Directed by: Dov Tiefenbach
Produced by: Jim Watt in partnership with NENA Productions
