Discussion: Mitigating Climate Change through Ecological Restoration
Via Zoom and Facebook
Hosted by the Red Bank Library
The Library is hosting international journalist and ecologist John Liu in an online discussion about his documentary “Green Gold,” and his work to implement the methods of ecological restoration, which are key to addressing climate change.
He started Ecosystem Restoration Camps (https://ecosystemrestorationcamps.org/) to bring the public into the regeneration process.
The rapidity of climate change heightens the urgency of this mission.
Join us at 12 PM if you wish to watch the video with us, and at 1 to just attend John’s Q&A — the documentary can be viewed at any time at https://www.academia.edu/5522742/_Green_Gold_Film_about_my_work_by_Dutch_VPRO.
John D. Liu worked as an international video journalist in the 1980s and 90s. He documented the healing of an ecosystem in China and recognized that the principles used there could be applied around the planet. Learn more about him at https://knaw.academia.edu/JohnDLiu.
This program will be held over Zoom and will be simultaneously streamed over Facebook Live. Register at https://www.redbanklibrary.org via the calendar or use the link posted here.
