March 12 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST

Dillies Pilevsky, instructor
Examine characters limited by disabilities created by an iconic, disabled author whose work was often described as brutal, disturbing and sarcastic. Identify with their hopes, goals, sorrows and regrets. Make room for new levels of empathy and understanding. Feel their struggles in ordinary- and sometimes extraordinary ways- for humanity and faith. Flannery wrote, “Grace changes us and the change is painful.” Do you agree? Stories are A Good Man is Hard to Find (1953), Good Country People (1956) and The Displaced Person (1954) and will be read in this order. 3 SESSIONS
