Manasquan River Group of Artists' Invitational Art Show and Sale

Middletown, NJ—During the month of September, exceptional art produced by local artists will be on display at the Manasquan River Group of Artists' Invitational Art Show and Sale, sponsored by Manasquan Bank, at the Middletown Arts Center. The show will feature the art of 65 MRGA members and their guests from the Art Society of Monmouth County who will compete for awards provided by OceanFirst Bank.
The show will be open September 3-29 during business hours. Admission is free. For details, visit www.mrga38.org.

The Manasquan River Group of Artists was formed in 1938 by Ida Wells Stroud, a prominent artist and teacher in the School of Fine Arts in Newark, and her daughter, Clara, who resided each summer in Herbertsville where Ida held outdoor painting classes on the banks of the Manasquan River. The group first met in members' homes. Today MRGA meets at the Curtis House in Brielle and remains true to its roots to promote the work of local artists.
